One thing to keep in mind "resell" script on 11th gen Kindle's also requires the device to be currently charging, so don't unplug the USB cable. Not sure if the same is the case for 10th gen (like your PW4).
It has been almost a year since I've read that script when I wanted to test returning a Kindle back into "shipping mode".

I try it now,my Kindle after chosing chinese language rebooted and shown logs of Jailbreaking.
But after that it show an error, and then white screen, not responsive to touch. I had to forcefully reboot it to English (seems like demo mode), all before applying hot fix.
Applied hot fix TWICE, (mkk folder was here first time but no MRPI after ;log mrpi command), now there is no mkk folder and no mrpi.

On the other PW4 with firmware 5.16.2.1.1 after apllying hotfix 2 times, it seems that mkk catalog is available but ;log mrpi shown no MRPI installed.
Restarted and still MRPI not installed.
So I don't know what to do, did I jailbroken or not?

Seems that now another PW4 is in the same state, mkk folder is available, no MRPI

I see both are in managed mode, how to get out? Typing ;demo on one ask if I want go to demo mode, on another it shows menu with Resell

You need to ;demo, when asked to enter ;demo mode you click Yes
I literally read that entering ;demo and pushing right will restart Kindle.

You "install" MRPI manually by downloading it, unpacking the zip archive and moving both "extensions" and "mrpackages" folders into "root" level of Kindle drive.

Hotfix only "installs"/adds the search bar command " ;log mrpi" that calls/runs the MRPI installer script... but you still need to add that script (that resides inside /extensions/MRPI or whatever).

I tried all day today, it just deletes or puts away fixes Bin files and so on, it removes everything(

No, there is currently no working public jailbreak method for the latest firmwares. The last jailbreakable version is 5.16.2.1.1.

I dont know what happens but both my Kindles have no mkk folder but responded to ;log mrpi after install mrpi

Disregard it, its jailbroken after installing MRPI and KUAL I can confirm

Did you exit out of that managed mode or are you like many people before you installing KUAL while still in managed mode?

Thanks so much for the work y'all do. Made it less painful to buy a kindle now that the Libra 2 has been discontinued.

I ran into an issue with step 14 of the jailbreak as the device wouldn't safely eject in windows. The files copied, so I simply unplugged and continued through the instructions. After choosing the Chinese language, and restarting I got the log messages indicating a successful jailbreak, but it booted into English. After getting past the setup screens I was stuck in a managed mode where no commands were recognized in the search bar. I was able to resolve by holding down the power button until it rebooted. After that I was able get use the ;uzb command and get the hotfix transferred and applied.
