Updating OpenInkpot?

Hey guys,

I've recently bought a Havon n516 device from a friend of mine.
He already installed the 20120220 version of OpenInkpot on it. Now I've found a newer version on the OpenInkpot site, 20120329.
I tried to install the new version (another question: should I update? Are there any bugfixes or better functions in the update?), but none of the two explained ways in the introduction helped.
There does not show up any note "Press a button to update", and the thing with "hold/press the home button while the LED is turning off" does not work either, or I just dont understand it.
Can anybody tell me how the update should work?

The last serious update to OI was 3 months ago, when CoolReader was refreshed. And for a month now there are no daily builds either. The last version I see there is dated 20120301. Where did you find that 20120329 version?

Yes, the last version I found was 20120301.

So, would it be useful/neccessary to update my ebook reader? And, if yes, how do I update it?

You can follow OI history on http://git.openinkpot.org/
Frankly, I don't see a reason to update a february version.
I own a different hardware, so I wouldn't know how to update Your model.
