I also understand taht another college is studying the affects on the power grid of so many cars plugging in a night.
Toyota is also selling Plug-In hybrids at a dealer in Berkley to access demand for such a product. They are worried about the price.

Here's an article about that UMPC with a keyboard that lets you type on the bottom. Don't remember where a more detailed article was (maybe the link brings you there?), but I think it's innovative in quite a few ways, not just bottom-typing.

There used to be (maybe still is) a guy writing travel books while bicycling across the country. He has a recumbent bike with a laptop mounted in front of him but he is using a multi-key keypad under each side of the handlebars. By hitting multiple keys at once to get a whole keyboard with only 5 or 6 keys on each side he is able to type the entire articles and books while pedaling down the road. He has external batteries for the laptop, of course.

Very clever!

That picture looked 'scammish' until one gets to look at the video.
I don't want to downplay the utility of it and the marvelous implementation but truly transparent displays are very nearly there and much thinner.

Something it could be adopted for new models of mobiles can be see at www.yankodesign.com and I find them really good design with a real good functionality... Some designs of them could be on market also before 2015...
