Dictionary Problem Stardict M96

Hi there, i've recently bought a M96: everything works fine, but i'm encountering some problems in getting work properly the dictionary: i've converted with pyglossary a .bgl (Babylon) dictionary to the Stardict format (as far as i know, it's the only supported format), and set up the dictionary in the menu: every time i try to search a word, i get this error:

java.lang.ArithmeticException: divide by zero

I've tried this dictionary also with GoldenDict, and i haven't had any trouble at all, so i'm pretty sure that the file isn't corrupted.

Has anyone had similar problems to mine?

Thanks in advance for your reply

I've used pyglossary to convert the dictionaries.
Every try i've done doesn't seem to work...

PyGlossary usually does an excellent job, but isn't perfect. If you have a Windows machine you could also try to convert the .bgl file with Stardict Editor:

1. Select the BGL file from the dropdown menu in Stardict Editor, click Browse... to select the .bgl file and click Compile.
This will generate a file with the .babylon extension.
2. Select the Babylon file from the dropdown menu in Stardict Editor, click Browse... to select the .babylon file and click Compile.
This will generate the actual Stardict files (ifo, idx, dict etc.).

If it still doesn't work, have a look a the .babylon file with a text editor.

Hi Doitsu, thanks for your reply
Unfortunately your suggestion hadn't sort any effect
Stardict editor continues to give me an error:

[critical] Error, no new line char after word line: 1.

This error shows up with every bgl i use.

Hey!

Can you explain the exact steps you used to fix the problem? I'm a reasonably adept Linux user, but using Stardict Editor for Linux gives me the same "divide by zero" error .

Thanks!
