Are there still issues regarding the standby image that I can help with? I have no experience with the drawing functions (yet), but if there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask. I might need a few pointers in the right direction though.

Thanks for the offer, quisvir but AFAICS standby images are working now with all supported devices. So issues #24 and #38 can be closed, if not problems arise after PRS+ 2.0.13 release.

Though there is some requests over at the PRS+Support-Groups Feature-Request-Thread you might have a look on:

And a observation with your BookManagement-Addon.
I deleted the current read book (via Options delete book), connected to USB and replaced it with a new-cropped version, with another filename.
After disconnect form USB the Home-Screen is broken.
1st row: "Kein Buch" (no book, this is ok, because I deleted it,
2nd row: only one new book, icon 2 and 3 empty.
3rd row: empty! All PRS+ related icons BrowseFolder / BookHistory / More are not shown.

After clicking on "show all Book" and selecting one, exit reading with Home-Button, Home-Screen is ok again.
I assume there is a problem with NO current book.

That's amazing timing. I just pushed a fix for bug 1 (thanks to MiK77 for testing!), and here is bug 2 waiting

I'll start working on it right away. Not too sure about adding feature requests though, I think kartu prefers to get existing bugs squashed first.

/edit: which option did you have the booklist set to?

quisvir: Bug 2 is exactly the problem I have had when accesing to wrong records.

Bug 2 fixed! It turned out to be Reading Progress that was crashing the menu without a current book.

Terisa de morgan: what happens is that if one of the parent objects of the property you're testing is null or undefined, the whole script throws an exception and quits (yay javascript). This I found out through bumping my head against the same wall repeatedly, unfortunately.

sengian: please ask kartu for rights to the google docs file, then you can update it whenever changes are needed.

Excellent update. One thing to report.

I have a 950 and the Customize Home Menu Booklist settings do not survive a shutdown and restart. Upon restart any saved settings have disappeared.

FYI, there are translations which are not included in lang.ods concerning either the installer or even the firmware even if I am not sure exactly of which ones but I think of xml files.

hi,

I tried installing the latest beta on my PRS-300, but something seems to have gone wrong. I got through the install screen ok, but after than my readers froze. I tried a reset, but all I get is "Opening book" and a flashing yellow light. I also can't hard reset. Any help, please.

2.0.13beta was (although not thoroughly) tested on:
300
505
600
650
950

basically on all supported models, besides 350 (which is very similar to 650 and never caused problems anyway).

Ben saw a syntax error in 600 specific file. It worked nevertheless, but I'm uploading updated file (v2) just in case.

But the cover image is stretched to the full screensize, even in landscape mode. it would be cool if it would keep its aspect ratio! 2)erisipgate A little frivolous, but: if the book cover on standby thing happens, something I'd like to see quite a bit would be that you could have a picture-in-picture sort of thing, with the book cover in a corner, so that you could still have user-created screen savers, and know what book was being read at the same time. 3)erisipgate Less frivolous request: always display images in sleep mode in upright (i.e. 0°) orientation, because otherwise the pictures are very teeny-tiny with very large borders when one changes between landscape/portrait modes. I discovered that the OF rotates the images, too, when displaying the screen-saver and thought, again, that there has to be a better way to do things than this.
