REB 1100 help connecting.

I just bought an REB 1100 off ebay. I used to have one of these till it got dropped and broke. I got one off ebay with the box and all original software and stuff. I tried installing the software but the librarian doesnt seem to be anywhere on my computer. I have Vista and a laptop with USB and little else. When I go to the ebook folder that is created the only thing in there is an Ebooklibrarian(tm) folder. When you into that there is no executable file. I don't know how to do a screen shot to show what all is there but it's basically a library folder, 2 icons, a screen shot of the librarian, a users guide and an HTML document called Default.
I know that there is a way to get this to work. I have ebooks stacked up waiting to go onto my machine. I found a disk from the one I had a few years ago.
If anyone can help me that would be AWESOME!

Thanks
Scott

It almost seems as if the actual librarian program never installed.

Same Problem

I tried to install the Librarian software with Windows 7 and encountered the same problem, i.e., no executable .exe file is installed. If anyone finds a solution, please post! I want to pass my eBook onto a worthy user.

Works With XP 32-bit

I couldn't install the Librarian on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine, but it did install on my 32-bit XP.

Did you guys try running the installer as Administrator?

There might be a "compatibility mode", too.

I had the same problem, but got around the problem. Copy the installation files to a folder on the hard drive. Using Properties, set the "Setup" file to execute in XP Compatibility mode. It should then install and work on your machine.
