Mary Elizabeth Braddon (* 4. Oktober 1837 in London; † 4. Februar 1915 in Richmond upon Thames) war eine englische Schriftstellerin.
Mary Elizabeth Braddon war eine der populärsten Schriftstellerinnen des viktorianischen England. Sie war das, was man heute eine Bestsellerautorin nennt. Ihre Themen waren vorwiegend Kriminal- und Gespenstergeschichten, auch Gesellschafts- und Abenteuererzählungen entstammten ihrer Feder.[Wikipedia]
