Is anyone using Scribd for audiobooks on this device? The app in the store says no longer published, so just wondering if it still works, if one already had it, or if one side loads, if that's even possible.

Sideloading might be possible, but bypassing authentication is not without piracy. If the app is no longer published, I assume authentication is likely to fail.

Had anybody tried Tucan Reader? recently I got Lumia 635, tried all available book readers and found Tucan Reader most reliable and comfortable for reading ePub and pdf as well.

Yes, there is an app you can download and install, perhaps it was preinstalled. It uses the headphones for an antenna, so you can't use it with the speaker. There are other apps that will let you have WiFi radio from some sites. By the way, it is rather hard to find a 520 anymore. Have you located one?

It's a free app and is called "FM Radio" by Astute Dev. If it's not already in your apps, go to the store and download it.
In order to listen to the radio, you must have headphones or a speaker or an extension cord plugged into your headphone jack. The cord acts like an antenna. You can listen to the radio through an external source or the phone's built-in speaker. Once the app is installed, you can shut off wifi and listen to the radio just like you do in your car or with any other portable FM radio. |

Actually, you can listen through the built-in speaker. Turn the radio on and you'll see the menu in the bottom right corner - it's 3 dots (...). Open it and select "switch to speaker". To go back to headphones, open the menu and select "switch to headset".

It's a good basic app. It'll display the station's call letters, plus the song and group. You can also choose your favorite stations. They display on a list in a separate menu, so changing between favorites is not as easy as it could be.

Actually, I was thinking AM. Is there an app for AM radio as well?

Off-topic: Choxi.com, formerly Nomorerack.com is a good website to find inexpensive refurb phones including iPhones as low as $59. Bought an iPhone 4 and LG Optimus to use on PagePlusCellular, and also to run all our fav apps |
