Bring back dev.mobileread.com and ALL of the files
Someone recently posted that he bricked his T1 trying to root it. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...87#post3432087
There is a thread that might be able to help. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=178263 The problem is that the files needed to maybe help were stored on dev.mobileread.com and that is no longer accessible. So can dev.mobileread.com be restored or can the files needed be placed someplace and the thread fixed to the links reference the files where they've been placed? This is a case of removing resources could lead to someone's Reader being bricked forever. |

dev.mobileread.com has been dead for some time. See the announcement of its demise here.
The files might be accessible through the Internet Archive (Wayback machine) at archive.org. Here's a link to the last capture. Last edited by pdurrant; 11-23-2016 at 10:03 AM. |

The person asking for help is out of luck. He's on the latest firmware and not the one that the recovery files will work with.
But, I do think that all threads and/or posts that rely on dev.mobileread.com being there should be deleted so nobody tries to find something that's no longer there. |

A bit late... but for reference, projects.mobileread.com may have the answer:
