Mike's Wager by Skye Taylor is a tie-in short story to her Camerons of Tide's Way series of f/m contemporary romance set in the eponymous small town, this installment apparently a setting-exploring heartwarming non-romance according to the customer reviews which don't mention any love interest, unusually not involving a member of the series-titular Cameron family, but starring an apparently unrelated individual who returns to his hometown, disguised as a homeless man for a bet to see if it will live up to his remembered ideals of its charity and generosity, free courtesy of Southern specialty publisher Bell Bridge Books.
