Collections, Calibre & 505?

Hi all, just wondered if anyone would be so kind as to explain how I can use collections in Calibre, to link to my Sony 505.

I'm hoping that this something to do with tags, so I can categorise my books by subject, and view them that way on the reader

Calibre tags are essentially the same thing as collections. If you tag a group of books as "fantasy" in Calibre, they will all show up on the reader as being in the "fantasy" collection. Calibre series also show as collections too.

Do you know what happens to multiple tags? Does it appear in multiple collections or just use the first?

If using multiple tags the same book will show up in multiple collections. The book is only on the device once.
