When I select Customize Driver as the default action when clicking on the Kobo Utilities icon, customize plugin is opened instead.

@jackie_w, DNSB: I'm sure that was working the other day. I'll have a look tonight to see what is happening.

Your translation of "Block Analytics Events" (Bloquer les événements d'analyse) is a bit fuzzy: I think it's about Analytics, the Google spyware: "Bloquer Google Analytics" or "Bloquer Analytics" if you are fearing of reprisals from Google Omnipotent would be less French but clearer. As for French translations in general, I think they are often too long: the first text on the back of the third book on the Calibre splash screen is uselessly long and oversteps the length of the book back: Quote:

"En cours" necessarily translates the English progressive form with much less efficiency than "Calibre starting". We must not fight with deliberately overweight handicaps. By the way, there is still a mistake in the translation of "Invalid id" in ebook-edit after a check: it says "id invalise" instead of "invalide". |

<!-- This translation of the help file is done by FrenchDummy aka @Alain_55 who was a French donator who never (till now) fully understood the plugin of David4. The only way I found to use it, is its translation to my native language. Therefore, this translation still requires a harmonization with the French final user interface from David4 (poedit files) of the plugin (I'll try to mark the relative sentences to focus on with a red background). You are all cordially invited to complete this long-term work with screenshots (or better translations) January 2017/01/14 --> By the way The editing of our posts is difficult, the delay is short ---------------------- The translations were made. Alas a Hardware breakdown has come to spoil everything. ( Graphic card on a vintage mac ) Without a computer for more than a week and the loss of my data slowed down my ardor. I think that I will have to wait some time before proposing a complete and harmonious French translation (strings, and help file). Sorry for this interruption. I also lost all my calibre library. I must study how to restore it. ---------------------- The attached file below is now obsolete Last edited by Frenchdummy; 01-29-2017 at 03:35 AM. Reason: Crash |

Thanks a million for the plugin; makes Calibre a *much* more useful tool for me now. I'm having a little trouble with annotations, though. When I try to "Backup Annotation File" for a kepub, I'm told that there were none, and no file is written, although the "Copy Annotations" function gives me a good preview of the annotations.

Personally, I don't recommend either of these. The "Backup Annotation File" was a quick and dirty addition that I don't find very useful. The "Copy Annotations" was intended for copying and pasting the annotations elsewhere. Depending on what you want, a better method to extract the annotations is the Annotations plugin. It copies them to a column in calibre with some reasonable formatting. But, if the purpose is to back them up and restore them later, there isn't an automatic way to do this. Some people have written scripts to extract the data from the database. A search of the Kobo subforum should find them. |

This is only a request, and if you have the time to do it, I don't know if it's even possible.
To take the book status (Read, Unread, Finished), from sqlite file (I didn't find where it's in sqlite file), and to load it, into a custom column. So if you finished a book on your device, when you connect the device to calibre, it will change to Finished in the custom column. I don't know how it will work if somebody have more than one device.
