My Ratings column

I truly appreciate having the chance to use half stars in the rating with this new column. Is there a way to copy the previous 'Ratings' into the 'My Ratings'?

I will want to switch what appears beneath the covers in the Cover Grid to the My Ratings to take advantage of those half-stars, but I don't want to lose the previous ratings I gave either. I also don't particularly want to have to copy them one by one.

Thanks

The safest way to copy is to simply click on each entry in your old ratings column in the tag browser and then select all books and use the bulk metadata edit dialog to assign that rating value to the new column. Since your old rating column only has five entries this should take no more than a couple of minutes.

The fastest way would be to use the search and & replace tab of the bulk metadata dialog -- but I have not tested that, so I cant say if it will work or not.

It took under a minute 👍 and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

No that doesn't work (it's the way I first tried). Rating/My Rating does not show up in the Search Field/Destination Field.

Geez, I should have thought of that...however I was thrown by being stuck on Bulk Edit Metadata S&R.

Thanks!

Same here (S & R stuck), but I was using a "brute-force" approach: sql. This is faster. Thank you very much.
