Battery Memory?

Does anybody know if the Edge battery is prone to developing "memory" like our old cordless phones. Currently, I'm waiting for the battery to completely discharge before a recharge though this is inconvenient.

Is it safe to routinely recharge if the battery is not completely discharged?

Thanks.

Paul

Short answer: Yes, it's safe.

Longer answer: The eDGe's battery is Lithium-ion polymer type, which is standard for portable devices these days. Such batteries are NOT prone to memory, contrary to popular belief. Incidentally, you also don't need to charge them for 8 hours the first time.

From looking into this issue before, the sweet spot for Li-Ion batteries is around 70% charge. The LESS you keep it fully charged (or discharge it fully) the LONGER it will last. That's the theory anyway, haven't really tested it myself.
