Avatar Guidelines
Are there any rules regarding the use of animation in Avatars at MobileRead ?
I've had to go and turn off the display of avatar's as I find one members animated avatar to be extremely distracting. I did PM him to see if he would change it, but had no response of any type. |

You can temporarily stop any moving avatar with the esc key.

I've taken the approach of just turning off the display of Avatars. Tis a shame as I miss out on the other amusing ones.

Install Adblock Plus (know it's available for Firefox and Chrome. Seems to be available to IE). Right-Click on Avatar you don't want to see. Select "Block Image". Select first item in list. All avatars except the one that's bothering will still be visible.

Brilliant idea! I already use Adblock Plus on Chrome but never EVER thought of that usage!

Well, the picture is of Hildegard von Bingen - who, by all accounts, was a bit of a goer.
