Failed to read book error message

I tried to open 3 MOBI files, and received 2 separate error messages:

I've never had this issue before when trying to open or convert a MOBI file. Is there a plugin or something I could get to open the files, or are they basically corrupt and therefore garbage?

Also looking at the path, it appears that you are storing your library in iCloud. Generally speaking, using local storage for a calibre library is a very good idea. Storing your library on a NAS, in the cloud, on a shared drive is going to bite your butt sooner or later.
