Fixing a date format setting

I was able to add a custom date field, that was going to hold the date downloaded for books fetched from fiction sites.

Somewhere, I was trying to get the date formatted as year-month-date.

I very clearly remember using a format of yyyy-mm-dd

Sadly, I've found that this gives me minutes, not month. I cannot find that formatting preference anywhere.

Help? Thanks.

What I mean is, where is that format setting? I cannot find where to go to enter MM instead of mm.

there are DATE tweaks Preferences:Tweaks .
I just don't know if they can be done for custom columns,. Or if they can, they probably are NOT on a per column setting.

Well, that was enough of a hint.

So Preferences -> tweaks -> date format has several, but that's not the interface I used, and none of those are in the format I entered.

And they are three different entries, for the three standard columns.

So, since I'm using a custom column, filled in by a plug-in ... check that plug-in's settings? Nope.

So Preferences -> Custom columns?

...

Notice that there's a bunch of buttons on the right side of the interface window. Oddly-shaped/placed buttons.

There's easy to use, see, and read buttons on the bottom of the window. None of them say "edit settings".

Mousing over each of the buttons on the right, and sure enough, one of them is "edit settings".

And that's where it is.
