Hello everyone!

My name is Lara and I live in Copenhagen, Denmark!

My husband and I both want ebook readers...so I found this forum. I am sure that joining will help us decide which ones to buy!

We actually met on a book forum (6 years ago). I am from the US and he is Danish, although I speak fluent Danish now.

I am glad to see so many Europeans here...figuring out which device to buy is very hard since so many are geared to the American audience! It will be easier for us to choose based on the experiences of members here!

Hello and welcome from another indvandrere. I think the bibliotek in Copenhagen has ereaders that you can borrow, so maybe you could try one out first.

Hi Lara, Welcome to this forum. There is no generally accepted best device or format to choose.
If you want to read books from the library, you need a reader supporting the epub format using adobe drm. On the other hand if you want to buy books with ease, Amazon's azw format is probably best. The 2 formats are not compatible, Amazon's Kindle can read their books, and there are lots of readers which support epub.
There are ways to make one reader able to read both formats, but they make the usage slightly more complicated.
If you post at the "Which one should I buy" forum, you will get lot of replies.
