Looking for replacement screen for Boox N96 Dual Touch

I recently broke my screen. The writing surface isn't damaged, but the e-ink screen inside is broken - I can tell. Anyone know of sources for ordering a replacement screen? If not, does Onyx provide repair service? Price?

Also, I can't get my data off the unit because when I hook up USB to PC, I can't enter the dialog box which tells it to connect as an external drive. Anyone know of an alternate method using the buttons.

Thanks. Really bummed that this happened.

A lot of money to salvage your data.

As an android device, there should be a way to get in including some apps made specifically for a broken screen, but I have not tried any of them.

Onyx is offering to replace it for $145.

However, I found replacement screens for other models be sold by third-party companies for $50.

Now I am seeing if Onyx will send it to me to let me swap it to reduce the cost.

I'm surprised there is no way to access the SSD through the buttons as a backup.

Okay, I found out from Onyx that the correct part number is ED097OD2 for the N96 Dual Touch.

I found it on ebay for $39. However, the listing says:

"For 9.7" ED097OD2 E Ink LCD Display Touch Screen For Onyx Boox M96Plus M96C &V20"

Does anyone know if the screens for the N96 and M96 are the same? I thought the N96 was the first to have Dual Touch (pen & finger) input.

Also, did anyone change screens on a Onyx model before? Is it easy? Any details to look out for? Any repair videos? I saw a video for a 6" which looked really simple.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.
