Aldiko Text is Too Dim on Night Mode

Hello,

I recently re-installed Aldiko on my Galaxy Note 5. When I switch to night mode, the white text is extremely dim, even with both the phone's and Aldiko's brightness set to max. The white (or sepia, as I have it now) background in day mode looks just fine.

Has anyone had a similar experience or know of a fix? I like to use night mode since the AMOLED screen uses much less power with a majority-black display.

Thanks,
Keith
