Cost per size of screen
Hi all,
Under the gross over-generalization that all devices are equal and it is the screen size and price that matter I did a very quick calculation on the cost per mm^2 of screen. Here is what we get: V3: 0,028 PRS-505: 0,028 PRS-700: 0,037 iLiad: 0,030 and 0,035 (two devices) Digital Reader: 0,020 and 0,023 and 0,026 (three devices) D00111: 0,033 STK-101: 0,039 Cybook Gen3: 0,032 EB-900: 0,021 Conclusions (again under the gross assumption that everything else is the same; which I doesn't stand). The newer/newest models has the cheapest cost of screen real estate ares. Reader is the cheapest even in its most expensive configuration (with the exception of the EB-900 but this is yet to come). Do you thing its possible to factor in the device differences and get a more representative measurement. Looking forward to comments Apostolos |
