Calibre 3.23 stuck in perpetual loading

I am having a similar problem to one reported back in 2017 and I am using latest version of Chrome from Windows machine and Firefox on Linux Mint. Calibre vers 3.21. Since I am hosting this on the Linux Mint server and I use Firefox and use localhost:8100 (8100 is the port I use) or 127.0.0.1:8100 the library loads very quickly. If I use the actual IP address of the server 192.168.1.167:8100 it stays in perpetual loading. Same result if I use the machine name htpc2:8100. So it isn't doesn't seem like a browser issue.

that's a network issue. install dev tools in firefox and look at the network/resources page, or the console, both should report errors loading pages over the network.

I am getting the same problem in the latest Chrome, but not Chromium. The error console is showing this
