NEW USERS signing up to ask questions: READ THIS

This post is aimed at people who come here to ask questions, hoping for quick answers.

When you create an account on MobileRead, the default for notification of responses to posts you make (questions you ask) is "weekly". Because of this, you might not be informed for several days that someone has responded to your question.

To receive notifications whenever someone responds to your question you should change your "thread subscription mode" from "Weekly" to "Instant". You do this by doing the following:
  1. Click on "User CP" near the top left of the screen.
  2. Scroll down to "Settings and Options", then select "Edit Options".
  3. Find the section "Default Thread Subscription Mode".
  4. Change "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to "Instant email notification".
