Troubleshooting Really weird behaviour of PW3

Hello!

My PW3 recently has started behaving like a faulty device.

The firmware is 5.9.2.

1. The screen sometimes completely freezes (mainly in the main book list) and it won't react to any touches.

2. Now when I wanted to turn it on, the led lights up in green for 2 seconds and nothing happens.

What's wrong?

OK the second one was solved by fully restarting the device by holding the button for 30 secs.

But what about the first one? Why is it happening sometimes?

How many books do you have on board? Is it possible you have more books on board than the Kindle can easily handle?

Also is the battery holding up okay? If not it might be a problem with indexing a book. That could possibly slow your Kindle down and would make the battery drain pretty quickly. You can check this by doing a search on the home page for some nonsense word it can't find, such as zstrypsps. It'll search each book that's been indexed and give you the titles of any that haven't been indexed yet. If you do get an unindexed book it might be wise to delete it from the device and download it again.

Neither of these things sounds like an exact match to your problem but they're close enough that they're worth looking into.

There are 77 books. 10+/-
The battery is about 9 months old.
No match for any books with a nonexistent word.
I think it has something to do with the dictionaries. When I open a very large one it doesn't open immediately. (the dictionary itself, not the lookup method from a book)

And of course I have a few Hungarian books as well with hyphenation.
