For tea, just find the right spot on the Aga's simmering plate and you're ready to make tea 24/7. One friend of mine's parents had an Aga cooker which they loved for decades since they brought it over from England in 1945(?).

The email that I had sent last week to the store that sells the parts is still unanswered so I contacted the lidl support via phone and they connected me to the company that supports their products and they checked and they have the hook, they send me the details for the payment and its paid so I should receive it this week.
Not being able to make anything for breakfast I tried an app that I saw a while ago on TV, called to good to go and tried a bunch of pastry shops in the area, so it could have been worst. |

And here's the insulting part--I'm never chosen. Never. Not once, not ever, to be tautological. it's infuriating. I waste the best part of a day, drive all over God's creation (the courthouse for the State Court is like, 50+ miles from here, mind you) and then, nope, they don't want me. Whichever side is angling for easily-bamboozled (read: stoopid) jurors, dismisses me with a peremptory. I mean, for the...let me SERVE, for crying out loud! The only good thing that I can say is that at least only Mr. Hitch seems to get the Grand Jury (180-day) summonses. God, that would make me b*ts**t. (sigh). Hitch |

This makes my fifth jury summons. I had to serve once. Three were for a common pleas court that puts you on the hook for--literally--a month of Wednesdays. Two have been petit jury summons that have you on call every day for a week.
Just 10 more years until I age out. |

Hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness. I belong to a couple of sewing related Facebook groups. One of them is for sales of sewing related items, etc.
There is a gal on that group who has a business in another state, and she has been complaining about a customer who wasn't happy with an alteration job, and refused to pay the remaining amount due, $100 or so. This customer also, according to the user, also had many friends leave unfair low star reviews on the business Facebook page. So this business owner wrote a long post, explaining the details of the alteration gone wrong, naming the customer, etc. And not that it matters, but wowzers, I've not seen such a poorly written rant in a long time. No grammar, horrible spelling, etc. So, at the end of her rant, she asks everyone who reads it to go to the review page, and leave her 5 star reviews. Totally missing, I guess, that that is the exact same thing she is so angry about. Fake reviews. Silly, I know, and makes no difference to me, but it just really got under my skin. |

I do concur that the whole idea of fighting fake bad reviews with fake good reviews is funny--but as someone who also earns her daily bread online, I know all too well just how devasting even ONE lousy fake review can be. Believe it or not--one, just ONE fake review, in the right place, can nearly destroy an entire, very real business. I know this first-hand and factually. Hitch |

Not that this would be an excuse to get all your friends to leave fake reviews. Last edited by 4691mls; 05-14-2021 at 10:52 AM. |
