Calibre and Mac Compatibility

Hi
I really love Calibre and the way it handles my ebooks. I just wondered when there was likely to be more compatibility between Calibre and Mac OS X.

I have a Kindle Fire and have to use the Android File Transfer software. So I spend ages loading my books onto Calibre, going through them amending the metadata and setting cover pages, arranging in collections etc. and then have to come out of Calibre and navigate to my Calibre library files on Finder and then find each book individually that I want to add to my kindle and then copy them across to the Android File Transfer software.

Life would be so much better if Calibre would just recognise my Kindle Fire

Thanks
Jo
