Lightbulb Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/ePub) 40 Most Influential Xtians [Xtian Faith Thinker Bios]

The 40 Most Influential Christians… Who Shaped What We Believe Today by Daryl Aaron is a mini-biography compilation of Exactly What It Says In The Title, serving as an introduction to the major theological intellectuals in the field, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Bethany House imprint.

This is actually pretty nifty, with additional bits about each figure's contributions and a conclusion reached about them, and may even be of interest to more secular types who'd like a bit of acquaintance with some of the perhaps lesser-known personages who've shaped Christian religious thinking over the centuries in ways that might be affecting the modern-day persons and institutions around them, depending on where you live.

Currently free, probably just for one day @ Amazon UK (slated to drop in the main store after midnight Pacific Time), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians), and Christian Book (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide). It's being a bit stubborn to drop tonight @ B&N (may also drop in the UK), but the last time this happened with a Baker book, it went free in the morning, and will likely be free during a repeat cycle if not this particular time anyway.

Description
Compelling Accounts of Key People Who Have Formed Christian Belief through the Ages

All Christians' beliefs are shaped by those who went before them. Now these giants of Christian history are presented chronologically and in a format that helps readers get to know them.

In addition to a biographical sketch, readers will discover each person's primary contributions to the Christian faith along with a brief quotation from their work. Students, history buffs, and curious readers will be fascinated as their faith is strengthened.

Included are Polycarp, Justin Martyr, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Martin Luther, John Calvin, Karl Barth, Carl F. H. Henry, and more.
