Is it possible to disable the dictionary?

For some reason ason, my reader takes a looooong time to look up a word in the dictionary. It's so slow that i dont even use the dictionary anymore. It has become an annoyance since sometimes im reading something and accidentaly touch the screen, and the reader starts searching for the word and freezes. I can even finish reading the page and still have to wait for the search result.

I've already tried with another method posted in this forum to reinstall the dictionary partition, i the one who started that post and it worked for me before, but not permanently, so i was wondering if there is a way to disable the dictionary feature via root or hack or maybe a modified reader app.

Thanks!
