I don' think the heat from red can be compared to the heat of Smaug. (Yes, I just saw "The Hobbit" tonight. But heat or no heat, I win again

I liked it very much. Saw it in 3D, and was completely stunned. It's amazing what they can do these days...
And the music was formidable. I'm looking forward to the next part of the journey. What do you think of it? It's at least a decade since I read the book, and there were many things in the film I didn't remember from the book. Actually I'm pondering re-reading it. Or should I let it be and rediscover the story bit by bit while watching it in the theatre, and reading it next Christmas instead? So many options... And no undo-button |

You have quite an experience in front of you. It's a good story, a visual appealing story, and it's well told. I have a suspicion that they have added quite a few things that weren't in the book, but can't be sure since it's a long time since I read the book.
It's even worth seeing just for the 3D experience and the special effects alone. They're in the same league as Avatar |

I couldn't help noticing your location
I was sceptical to Avatar because I heard the story was eyewash and very thin. I saw it because of the special effects. I have allways liked the technical aspects of film and the tricks that they use. I'm a huge fan of Ray Harryhausen, but everybody said I had to see Avatar, if not for the story then at least for the special effects. I haven't regretted it |

Looks like PDurrant's only hope is to possess Whoopi Goldberg.

Unfortunately, since PDurrant is piggybacking on the structure of a movie, he must comply with the movie's character structure which means that PDurrant can only possess the character that Whoopi Goldberg played. But to do that, PDurrant must become a fictional character, which means that he won't exist, which means he can't take the win since only real people can take the win.
But I'll take the real win. |
