delete all books in a given format
there is a way to delete from the database all the books in a given format?
...without nuking all the books of course  alessandro |

doesnt matter, I found it:
edit metadata in bulk (after selecting them all) -> remove given format great program! alessandro |

After doing the bulk edit, you might be left with books having no format at all. If you want to get rid of some/all of these, do a search for format:false. You will see a list of books with no formats. Delete the ones you no longer want.
