If the Cybook Opus got its own forum, it would probably be a subforum under a forum named Bookeen. (That's what the current Gen3 forum would be renamed as.) |

But the interesting thing is the software so what does it use? Netronix standard software that is used by other or something else?

finding information
Sure those that know a lot about ereaders know that Cool-er is a netronix clone. But for the average end user? They are most likely not going to know that.
If they are coming here looking for information on a Cool-er they have to know to dig through threads in the News and Commentary section and the Which One Should I Buy? The forums have some very good information on the Cool-er but for users that information is not easy to find. Amy |

We do need a common forum. One for things that are not specific to just one device. For example, we have a number of "What light is best" type threads all over the place. They could all be in the common forum since they are not just device specific.

The Cybook forum has been renamed so it will reflect both the Cybook Gen3 and the Cybook Opus.

Regardless, the firmware is what makes the Opus different from the Gen3 and support/whatnot is different. It's not the same. Not even close. The Gen3 doesn't do folders and ePub. The Opus does.

Why? I am pretty sure the majority of threads will apply to both devices. Actually I think ADE / Mobi prefixes might even be more appropriate or good in addition... not sure though. Setting up a forum taxonomy here isn't simple.

100% ACK (optionally = nobody uses it)
(Actually some will use prefixes, but if not mandatory it'll always be a mix, you can't be sure and have to look + sorting/filtering with prefix makes no real sense...) |

It's optional now and people are using them. It's been our experience that *enforcing* thread prefixes is not practical. What if a user wants to talk about multiple devices of the same vendor? What if he does not want to talk about the company but not about a specific device?
