Aldiko Next: Import files

I'm running Aldiko Next (fully up-to-date) on (updated) Android 7.1.1, and am having problems with "Importing files".

My whole Library is on Google Drive. Works like a charm. Having updated one of my Epubs using Sigil 1.8.0, I saved it into the same folder (on Google Drive), and then tried to Import it into Aldiko Next.

Much to my surprise, Aldiko cannot see this new file! It doesn't seem to be there. I used File Commander to check my Library-folder, and, sure enough, the new file was there.

I then moved this file to my Downloads-folder, and tried again. Failed again: Aldiko cannot see this new file. It just doesn't seem to be there. Aldiko can see all the other files, though.

So..what gives? File Commander tells me the file is present.
