Fort, Charles Hoy: Wild Talents (1933): v1
The fourth and final volume of Fortean occurrences: and early in the opening chapter is a throwaway idea that later became an sf short story by someone else: "is someone collecting Ambroses?"
The four Fort books have become a veritable diamond mine of themes and ideas for sf stories over the many years they have been in print. Indescribable, but entertaining.
