650 is MUCH faster than 600

I got a 650 for Xmas to "replace" my 600.

So today I was setting up the 600 for my wife to try. Loading soem 400 books on the 650 using Calibre takes about 5 minutes. Loading 300 books onto the 600 took 106 minutes.

And the boot up time after loading books is also signifcantly faster.

Add in the better contrast screen and the 650 is significantly better.

Agreed on all points. The 650 is definitely better all around than previous models.

It sounds like your 650 is way faster than my 950. The 950 is not any faster than the 900 I previously had... and yes, I think loading 300 books would take AT LEAST 2 hours on my 950... I have tried loading my collection of PDF (some 600 papers with annotations) and I just gave up after 5 hours...

EDIT: I should be more precise. I loaded the papers on an SD card and put the SD card in the reader. After 5 hours it was still indexing, so I gave up.
