Cmdline send to kindle 3 not working

Hi,

I was able to convert nytimes (using the provided recipe) to mobi format and didn't get any errors when using calibre-smtp to send to my @free.kindle.com account. However, Kindle Support is complaining that the format is not recognizable. I am listing my steps below. Wondering if someone can point me to my mistakes. Thank you in advance.

./ebook-convert resources/recipes/nytimes.recipe tmp/nytimes.mobi --output-profile=kindle --username <username> --password <password>

./calibre-smtp -r smtp.gmail.com -vv --port 587 --username xxx@gmail.com --password xxxx --a tmp/nytimes.mobi xxx@gmail.com abcd@free.kindle.com ""

Seems fine to me. Send the file to yourself and check that it works.
