Connect Software on Windows XP
Browsing the connect store via the desktop connect software my author search seemed to hang (10 mins), I proceeded to "end session" via the windows "task manager".
On re-entering the connect software all that shows is the library content I have downloaded in the past, the left side window that normally shows the file structure, econnect store icon, reader gadget, etc, is gone. I just have the one pane. I tried to remove the software and reinstall, reboot, etc.. Spent 3 hours last night with Sony attempting to transfer me to level 2 support, numerous disconnected calls, finally connected to level 2 support for Audio! Very frustrated. Can anyone help? |

Try using a restore point to the point just before you originally installed the connect software. I had to do that to my mother's laptop when the wireles network card software would not install when I had to uninstall and earlier version to intall the latest version.
