adding metadata
Is there a way to add meta data to drm books? I would like to add a summary (like what is on the back jacket) to the books I buy from the sony store so I have an idea what they are about. I think I have a latest version of Calibre and this works great with the free books I have downloaded. I am not trying to convert the sony books but it seems like I can't add the meta data unless I click convert which of course doesn't work

Normally one cannot add most metadata fields to DRM protected books as this information is inside the part encrypted by the DRM.

I think is true for Sony books though (assuming their DRM'ed format)
