I'm a new Kindle 3 owner and SBO subscriber, and have thought about doing something similar. I'd be very interested to see what you've developed so far.

My paying job's become increasingly busy... so I've decided that the best thing to do is to open source what I've written as I won't be able to keep working on the code as I have done.

I believe what I've written so far, while far from a finished product, could be the basis of something better. Stay tuned for more announcements.

It's written in Python/Javascript for the Google App Engine.

The source is here: https://bitbucket.org/nathelong/safari4kindle

but it's not currently working as it should as Safari have changed their interface slightly since the last time I worked on the code.

I'll make another announcement when I fix this.
