I'm not going to nuke all the posts. My replies to you have your posts to me. I am, however, done with this thread, since your issues are now all resolved. AND, as I said previously, when I thoroughly tested your plugin, it works for whomever wants to use it.

Most Kindles that cannot handle KF8 are at a resolution of 800x600. So what you do is make images the size you want on that screen. You'll have to ignore the DX. Then the images will be the correct size on most Kindles running Mobi. (it's not KF7, it's Mobi).

Then you can have images sized such that on the Voyage/PW3/Oasis that they'll be high enough resolution and can be sized appropriately as the KF8 code says. It will look like it should on hi-res Kindles, low-res Kindles, and medium-res Kindles.

Ignore the DX? That model was hugely popular, you know that. Also...the LITB seems to use the KF7-sized images. So, if you don't size the images.....
