I heard the daily edition offers 16 levels of grey. Is that more than the 700/600? Does anyone know if the processor is faster on the daily edition or is it the same one used on the 700/600?

I also have a question regarding the contrast. I read that a lot of people blame the lower contrast on the 600 possible 700 on the touchscreen. I think the iLiad also has a pen input device, does that also suffer from contrast problems?

No, because it is using a Wacom touch screen. It appears that the DR800 will do the same, since it is going to be "pen-only" touch. Note that all previous iRex devices had poor (for EInk) battery life, although this does not seem to be because of Wacom alone.

PVI has also announced a touch technology that is behind the EInk screen, but there are no actual devices with this yet.
