We got 11-12" of snow over the weekend. "Snow events" for 9 days straight. But this is pretty normal (before global warming, when the winters have been milder). Expecting to be above freezing on Wednesday and Thursday. Whee!
It's still only 20F, but since I'm on the south side of the building, we're getting wicked icicles hanging above the doorway. I found a long stick today, and bashed them down. I'll see how many regrow during today! |

It snowed from mid-afternoon until midnight. We got between 4 and 6 inches (depending on where I measure) of heavy, dense snow. It stopped after midnight and I already have a path shoveled up our driveway to the street -- my son will (should) finish it off on Sunday.
We really only need to scrape it down to expose the blacktop. We're supposed to have full sun on Sunday with a high temperature of about 50º (F). By Wednesday they're predicting record breaking heat in the mid-70s. Hello, mud! |

33F and sunny.
Woke up to a light dusting of snow. It's still there in the shady portions of the yard. |

Yep, we hit 79° this afternoon. That's beyond just "breaking" the record.
I was able to sit on the deck and read without benefit of coat, jacket, or even insulated vest. |

It's cold. Normally this time of year it's around 5-7C during the day and just above 0C during the night. During the night it was -3C and today it won't be warmer than 3C, which feels like -2C. It'll only get colder for the next week, temperatures at night will drop to around -10C and during the day will rise to around -1C.
Of course this is right in the week when my commute isn't going down the stairs, but cycling 4km. And as a self confessed good weather cyclist that sucks. |

It's cold, currently -7C, it feels like -14C. I just walked the dog and there was a light dusting of snow. Just enough to make it slippery in places where it has been compacted by cars. Most of my route home will be okay, because it's a busy route and because of the traffic there won't be much snow. But I'll have to be careful when cycling through quieter streets.

Snow! Second day working from home because of snow.
And cold! I thought we'd missed having a strong frost this year. Not so. A hard frost for this area - down to about -5C overnight. |

it has been raining all morning, it’s supposed to rain until Monday, I hope it does since we really need rain, the winter is almost over and it hasn’t rained yet.
