matchbox keyboard usage

Hi, when using the matchbox keyboard. Is there a place (dev?) (that I can cat for example) that the keystrokes go?

Do I connect it back to an X display using runtime flags? or environment vars? or something else?

I'm digging but this is all new stuff to me. Thanks

I looked in bafs patch but that's just a title amendment, font tweak and layout bits.
Ah well time to go diving again.

Matchbox-keyboard just translates utf-8 input to X events.
It uses XTEST extension. Read more here.
