Reading file metadata with "add_books"
Hi there! I have been using the database interface API's "add_books" to great success, but one thing I have not grasped yet is how to instruct calibre to attempt to read metadata, extract a cover image, etc. from added files. What's the right way to go about this after utilizing "add_books" and getting the list of newly added book ids? Appreciate your time.

You pas in the metadata to add_books. You read it using get_metadata() or metadata_from_formats() in the calibre.ebooks.metadata.meta module
