Chosen for Death is the first in the Thea Kozak series by Kate Flora. It has dropped to $0.99 at Kindle and Kobo (VIP/couponable) US. There are mulitple editions out there, so check carefully before you buy.

Julius Katz and Archie says it's the second in the Julius Katz series by Dave Zeltserman, although the series order is a little mixed up with a bunch of short stories, one (?) full length book, and maybe (?) a novella or two. (I'm going by memory here while traveling...)

In any case, this series is pretty much what you would imagine - a pastiche of the Nero Wolfe/Archie series by Rex Stout. I've read (I think) all of them, and quite enjoyed them all.

Amazon UK's Big Deal today are 20 books from the Nancy Drew Files series by "Carolyn Keene" for £0.99 each.

This seems to a small number from the series that were first published 1986-1997, but taken from all over the series, not (say) the first twenty.

All of Wilbur Smith's books published by Macmillan (which is all of them apart from a few of the most recent ones) are reduced to $4.99 at Australian / New Zealand retailers (except Google Play, maybe later). Normally $9.99 / $10.99.

I've only read a few of his stand-alone novels so far, I think the one I liked best was The Diamond Hunters.
