I'm afraid it doesn't seems to work I don't know really what's happening. Really, chinese font, languages and menus are already inside firmware, and also I tried your font. I tried also to reencode your file to utf-8, utf-16 (little endian) and to Windows 950 (traditional chinese) with wrong results. Seems like only the basic and default CoolReader provided by Jinke can handle correctly chinese and korean text. Also, opening .txt file by long press (will launch Jinke .txt default reader) does not help, neither rename it to .txt.fb2 and long press to attemp to launch default Jinke FB2/CoolReader, but here there is some problem related with Lbook bookshelf, because only full CoolReader is launched again (anyway, if this would work, you will end with same CoolReader and no extra menus or options over Jinke and others official firmware). Maybe if you ask about directly to Jinke support they can give us some hint or idea. Last edited by jotas; 07-07-2010 at 11:25 AM. |

jotas1+ update 2 (Hanlin V3+ firmware MOD)
jotas1- update 2 (Hanlin V5 firmware MOD) ... are out (see first message from thread). Update 2: - New and additional way to open FB2, RTF and TXT books from Lbook skin. This is the classic CoolReader, dated March (the one included inside jotas5 for V3), with only occasional fast reopening, but instead it should open books faster, use and record to SD card only if necessary and, if possible (according to Hanlin model and book type), make more use of uncompress memory and books. Access using long press key from Lbook skin, while short press and others skins continue to use last CoolReader. - New user setting to turn on/off default and user configurable book cover images. - Changed the way some styles and text are show for books. - Up to 9 different levels for font-weight from user settings (if the font allows it). Usually allowed normal, and two or three bold levels. - Internal changes to improve fast reopening book modes. - Updated and modded CoolReader, as July 16, 2010. |

Japanese support for jotas1-
I tried jotas1- with EZ Reader Pocket Pro.
I can't see japanese filename when I check Japanese language setting (and menu also showing empty rect instead of Japanese character). But when I change language to Chainese (Simplefied Chinese), I can see Japanese filename. So there must be Japanese (universal?) font there. Do you have any idea why I can't see Japanese filename when I set language as Japanese? |

But this filename suggest v3, and PocketPro is v5. Is that really what I can try? I also check http://mybebook.com site, but I can't figure out what this firms is for. |
