Search for books with a certain number of formats

How do I search for all the books that have, for example, two formats or three identifiers?

I see there are "formats" and "#formats" and "id" and "#id" searches. What's the difference between these?

formats is not a column, only shows in details
#formats is your custom field that makes a column

the search syntax is the same
