"The book is dead. Long live the e-book!"
From free books to "borrowed" books:
http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/...free-e-books/# "The book is dead. Long live the e-book! The e-book market has exploded, thanks to the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes & Noble Nook, the Apple iPad and others digital readers. Once you've dropped a bundle on that new tablet, you don't need to spend to get more dough to get content for it: There are many ways to get free digital e-books. Here's what you need to know. " |

They might have mentioned that borrowing ebooks from your library is something your Kindle can't do.

Manufacturers (that's Amazon now) never admit a flaw, J. That's why MobileRead exists, I guess. It's to expose the kinda thing you mention above. Bestests. Neil
PS: Still no word from China. We've just got to hang on. Yet another national holiday (lunar year) starts today and drags on for two weeks behind the Great Wall. Nothing moves at the speed of a fire-cracker there, eh? N |

I love my Kindle - it's so easy to carry around and read but, and there is always a but, books will always work even when there is no power of any kind.

Now, to be fair, Fox viewers do read books. They just have to have a smirking talking head on the cover and a blurb that promises to reveal all the details of the liberal-communist-immigrant-moozlum-gay conspiracy to steal all our tax dollars, take our guns, and make us all eat a balanced breakfast. They put those books on the Bestsellers lists.
