Post Dickens, Charles: Barnaby Rudge (Illustrated). v5. 24 Mar 2010
Set in London at the time of the Gordon Riots of 1780, Barnaby Rudge interweaves a murder mystery with the story of Lord George Gordon's dangerous appeal to old religious prejudices against Roman Catholics. The brilliant descriptions of the destruction of Newgate prison by the rioters contain some of Dickens's most vivid writing.

This was Dickens' fifth published novel, published in 1841.

Fully illustrated with the 76 original black and white illustrations by George Cattermole and Phiz.

Replace words in capitals with italics, as appropriate, to match the printed book. Scanned and added the 76 original illustrations by George Cattermole and Phiz. Created a proper MobiPocket version of the book with full-sized pictures, library information, working table of contents link, etc. Uploaded v3.

Thoroughly proof-read the book against the "Oxford Illustrated Dickens" edition. Hundreds of errors corrected, and missing italics and other formatting restored. Added a cover image. The book is now is good shape; if you find any remaining errors, please let me know so that they can be corrected. Uploaded v5.
