No "advanced options" in 5.8.10?
So I just got a Paperwhite 2 and want to get rid of the annoying new home page. But there is no "advanced options" under settings>device options. I just updated to 5.8.10. Is this setting no longer available? https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...deId=202022620

That is where it should be. Last item. Its still a setting. Not sure why you aren't seeing that.

OK, maybe it'll pop up when I connect the device to my Amazon account. I'm not near a wireless spot (and don't have wi-fi at home). I bought this used PW2 just for side-loading.
Annoying limitation... like my iPad. |

Ah, wonder if that is what it is. I wouldn't know, because all my kindles are always getting connected to my account first thing as I mostly read kindle books. And I actually love the home view page, but its more useful if you are integrated including goodreads. I can see it not being as useful if you sideload.

I don't have a particularly recent Kindle, but that was the behavior back when I first got my K3. There were only very basic settings available until it was connected to a Kindle account. The extra settings would then "magically" appear.
