My goal is to read as many books as I can read in 2017. And finish the ones I like without getting distracted. Not assigning a number, just want to establish better habits for the time being.
Books read in 2017: January: Watership Down by Richard Adams February: March: April: May: June: July: August: September: October: November: December: Last edited by spindlegirl; 02-03-2017 at 04:32 AM. |

This is my challenge. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. No, wait, there really aren't any others like it.
Quantity goal: At least 30 books The "other" goal: The Weird Challenge! Weird Challenge details: Spoiler:
As I am not good about updating multiple places, tracking will be on Goodreads as per usual, though I will update here with my overall success or failure. 2017 Annual "Reading Stuff" Thread The Weird Challenge Thread Last edited by CWatkinsNash; 12-31-2016 at 10:55 PM. |

Participating for the first time here. I plan to read at least 24 books this year. I know I am not a fast reader, and a meager number of 24 books may even be an overkill for me.

My goal is basically same as last year: to read as many books as I can. Maybe try for more non-fiction and more "classics"--again.
I seem to be all paper recently ... haven't figured out how to make notes in ebooks ... plus a lot of my to read pile is physical.

In April I've read about 160 pages less than I averagely read in that month. Still not bad, since for the past two weeks life happened and I had both less time to read and when I did have a bit of time I often didn't feel like reading. Overall this year I'm only 100 pages behind average, so it isn't too bad. In two weeks' time I'm away on vacation, another reading retreat, so I should do well this month.
I did finish a Very Long book in April, Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamilton, which was 1200 pages. |
